Throughout the years I've found my own voice communicating visually through color and abstract compositions. Most of what I'm expressing is a state of mind or an emotion, and I'm not concerned with definitive statements about this or about that. My only goal is to document life and experiences through my eyes and, hopefully, it will connect with others in their own way.
My art is a work in progress. I am a work in progress. We are all works in progress.
I tap into whatever emotion is present, whatever energy is guiding my hand intuitively in the moment and I take it as far as I can until a little voice whispers "it is complete". From the odd sketch to a developed painting, it all comes from the same source, and that is from the heart of my soul.
If there was any sort of official "point" to my work, it would be to challenge us all to look and look again at anything we think we know. Not only are we constantly evolving and changing, so are our memories and personal definitions. Just as we see new things when we revisit a work of art, so do we when we revisit the history of our own lives.
