Fall 2008 Series
This new collection of paintings are a reflection of where they were created. This is the first real series to be born in my new
backyard studio. I am surrounded by trees and the chirping of birds and chipmunks back there. I have a sort of paint inspired
meditation that I enter into when I'm working, but now I'm not surrounded by an industrial space, or my own living quarters, I am
surrounded by peaceful nature and prepared with all of the tools of the trade in my studio. My own creative hide out.
My utter joy to be painting in such a completely "free to be me" environment removes all distractions and lets me really dive in
and connect to that illuminating internal communication with paint.
